The Future of Genomic Testing in the Canadian Health Care Landscape: Overcoming Challenges & Embracing Opportunities for a Path Forward

CCRAN’s annual virtual pan-tumour Biomarkers Conference series drives the conversation on equitable and timely access to biomarker testing and comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) for metastatic cancer patients in Canada. In 2025, leading experts from clinical, lab, policy, research, and patient communities will explore policy development and advocacy strategies to advance CGP implementation in metastatic cancer care. With a focus on the future of biomarker testing and precision medicines in Canadian clinical practice, this year’s event will foster collaboration to unlock the potential of CGP and advanced diagnostics. To set the stage, the Conference Board of Canada, in partnership with CCRAN, will deliver a Keynote Presentation on the cost-benefit of access to CGP for five metastatic cancers, shaping discussions on the path towards equitable access to CGP as a reality nationwide.
